Hey, I’m Cailey Moedl!

I’m a graphic designer and artist based in Idaho.

I'm currently studying graphic design with an emphasis in branding and identity at Brigham Young University-Idaho and am set to graduate in December 2026. 

I love looking for new ways to create and solve visual problems. My work spans across branding and identity, graphic design, illustration, motion, and traditional fine art. I love being able to move between disciplines, and I believe that each one makes me a better, more well-rounded designer and artist.

Outside of design and art, I love watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with my husband and our puppy. I’m happiest when I’m with the people I love, making something, learning something new, or finding inspiration in the world around me.

My Journey

    I fell in love with creating through drawing and painting from a young age. My family encouraged my creativity and gave me the freedom to explore different mediums and develop my skills.

    My mom, who worked in the promotional product industry, also introduced me to the world of design, branding, and customization. Creating custom T-shirts for my family was one of my first experiences with graphic design and sparked an interest that has continued to grow ever since.

    High school was when I began taking my creativity seriously. I filled my schedule with art and design opportunities, writing and illustrating my first book, exhibiting my work in school art shows and earning multiple awards—including the Superintendent’s Choice Art Award—and developing my skills through yearbook, video production, custom apparel, and editorial design.

    I also led my school’s morning announcements team and created original artwork to accompany my senior piano recital. Exploring so many creative disciplines taught me how to think conceptually, collaborate, lead, and bring ideas to life, and gave me the foundation I continue to build on today.

    As I moved into college, I chose to pursue graphic design as my major. My coursework has allowed me to explore a wide range of disciplines, including motion design, typography, drawing and figure drawing, oil and watercolor painting, design and color, and design thinking. Each has contributed to how I approach art and design now as a freelancer.
